Dancing for Health is one of our most popular activities at Clifford House.
Set up by Tracey Barnes, Dancing for Health offers a wonderful opportunity for anybody who would not normally be able to attend a public dancing class. It enables anybody to learn to dance, with a partner of their choice, in a safe and friendly environment.

Dancing for Health isn't just about physical health - although the benefits to your mobility and physical wellbeing are numerous. It's also a wonderful way to form new friendships and regain your confidence.
As our Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Care Judith Park explains, "When somebody is diagnosed with an illness with no cure, their life changes and is often turned upside down. Dancing for Health can either allow people who have always loved dancing to come back to it, when they think everything has come to a standstill because they have received this diagnosis; or for some of our clients, it has enabled them to find a whole new hobby and a whole new lease of life."
Perhaps our client David explains it best! He says, "Dancing for Health has changed my life. My health is much better, my blood pressure is much better, and my psychological health is infinitely better. I've got a whole new circle of friends and life's good!"
