What is a Gupshup Club?

Our new Gupshup Club launched this week.

You may be asking, what on earth does 'gupshup' mean?

It roughly translates to 'chit chat' in Pakistani. Led by Naureen Khan, our Community Engagement Worker at St Luke's, our Gupshup Club is an opportunity for our clients from a South Asian background – many of whom do not speak English as their first language – to meet, make friends and take part in our creative activities.

For our clients who do speak English as their first language, it's a way to meet people from all different cultural backgrounds, hear their stories and learn something new!

Why not come and join us to find out more? Gupshup Club takes place in the Lounge every Wednesday from 10am-12pm. There's no need to book, so simply drop along next time you visit Clifford House!
