Dead Earnest Presents: Space for Sharing
We are pleased to announce that Dead Earnest Theatre will be presenting their play 'Space for Sharing' at Clifford House on Tuesday 5 June, 5pm-7pm.
What is a Gupshup Club?
Gupshup roughly translates to 'chit chat' in Pakistani. Led by Naureen Khan, our Community Engagement Worker at St Luke's, our Gupshup Club is an opportunity for our clients from a South Asian background - many of whom do not speak English as their first language - to meet, make friends and take part in our creative activities.
Drop in for Coffee & Company
Need to get something off your chest?
Drop in for our group chat on Wednesdays from 2pm-4pm
Coffee and Company is simply a place for you to talk about whatever you want. Perhaps you needing advice on coping with grief, or want to discuss how an illness has affected you or your loved ones - or perhaps you just need to have a good vent! This is a space for you, entirely free of cost.
Our aim is to provide a support network where every single person feels entirely comfortable to chat about anything and everything, no matter how serious or trivial you think it is. That's why we've limited our staff presence to just one volunteer, giving room for the rest of the group to be made up of those on similar journeys, with similar experiences - ears that listen without judgement, with tried and tested advice. There's no need to book, just turn up and drop in!
Oh, we nearly forgot to mention the amazing coffee, huge selection of teas, and wonderful cakes to help you on your way. Have a slice of lemon drizzle, make new friends, and say what you want to say; we hope to see you next Wednesday!
COFFEE AND COMPANY takes place EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 2PM to 4pm. THIS ACTIVITY DOES NOT NEED TO BE BOOKED.
For more information, call us on 0114 235 7650 (10am-4pm Tuesday to Thursday), or email cliffordhouseenquiries@hospicesheffield.co.uk.
Clifford House is open to anyone in Sheffield affected by an illness with no cure.
